Name Origin: Tesla is named after the scientist Nicola Tesla. After seeing a documentary in 2016 about Nicola Tesla I came to like the name, and he was a really interesting scientist. Plus it's a good dog name, short pronounced the same in multiple languages.
 

Nicknames: Tessi, Tessi-tess, Tessli

When Selune was three years old, we felt it was time for her to get a little sister. We approached Tracey at Honiahaka and found out she needed a breeding home for a Finn (Honiahaka Follow Your Dreams) puppy, which was a result of an outcross mating with a Tamaskan bitch from Germany.

As she needed a passport and rabies vaccinations, she stayed with Finns owner Judy in the Netherlands until she was old enough to have the vaccination and enter the UK.

Tesla is like her daddy, Finn, in both looks (not the colour, though ;) ) and behaviour.  
She is a loving, cuddly girl who leans into you for a scratch.

She can sometimes take on her "mama bear" role and be very protective of her pups and the pack, but she is also very intuitive and feels when you need some support. Several of her pups have inherited this trait. One of her grand pups is training to become a service dog for medical support. 

​

Tesla loves to join us on adventures; if she had her way, she would live in a city where she could always go to the pub and not just occasionally. Her favourite spot is in the centre of attention, where she can get all the fuss and tummy scritches. If some fries and sausages were present, preferably in her tummy, her life would be fulfilled. ​

Tesla is now retired from breeding and is living out the rest of her life as a cuddle monster and couch potato.
