About Selune

Name origin: We wanted an unique name for our first dog. 
As we are both D&D lovers, especially Forgotten Realms we chose Selûne - the Moon Goddess. She holds the portfolios of the moon, stars, navigation, navigators, wanderers, questers, seekers, and non-evil lycanthropes.

Nicknames: Loonie, Loonsa-Loon, Loon-Loon, Her Royal Highness

​Temperament:

The most gentle and sensitive soul there is. She used to be rather scared and nervous about life until we discovered Dog Parkcour which boosted her confidence. She was also sceptical to new people, but doing breed stands with Honiahaka as well as going to the pub has helped her overcome that.
I tell people she is like a cat, she might say hello, or she might ignore you.

However, nowadays she is a shouty, demanding old lady!​

Trainability:
She has been the most challenging to train as she got what I call it "husky brain" - everything is done on HER terms and she has to do it QUICKY. She love to do things, if running or treats is involved but often you have to negotiate what you want her to do. She only gets more stubborn with age.

Oh Loon! No dog have given me more scares, grey hairs or joy! 
She make sure we get full value of her insurance as each year there is something needing treatment or surgery. I am surprised how well she has recovered each time.
